Residential School Pole

Charles' Residential School Pole, as it became known in the media following its unveiling in Montreal, began life in Fort Rupert, British Columbia. A photo of part of the pole standing in Montreal can be seen on the front page.  On this page are a collection of photos taken during its creation.

This image was taken in Fort Rupert in July of 2015.  At this point the project was many months old. The aroma from the massive amount cedar in there was amazing.
