Residential School Pole
Charles' Residential School Pole, as it became known in the media following its unveiling in Montreal, began life in Fort Rupert, British Columbia. A photo of part of the pole standing in Montreal can be seen on the front page. On this page are a collection of photos taken during its creation.
This image was taken in Fort Rupert in July of 2015. At this point the project was many months old. The aroma from the massive amount cedar in there was amazing.
These two photos show Charles applying some of the early coats of paint to the 7.5 ton pole. These were taken May 2015.

The following are a series of photos showing the loading of the pole for moving day. The pole is nearly complete with the remaining work to be done on site in Montreal.
